Converted Convent Kitchen Interior Design

This project evolved from a converted convent, involving the removal of a dividing wall to increase space.

The aim was to create a kitchen that would be suited to everyday use whilst maintaining a sleek, stylish appearance. As such, we incorporated a breakfast bar and small dining area to suit various occasions.

Rather than ‘bleach’ the idea with whites and minimalist themes, we used walnut doors and stainless steel appliances to regenerate the feeling of a ‘homely’ kitchen. Natural limestone floor added a touch of mutual colour, and galaxy Nero granite worktops enhanced shape and structure. Pendant lighting spotlighted areas of interest and re-enforced the kitchen’s modern theme.

After many weeks of work, both the client and I were extremely happy with the result.
